When it comes to love and relationships, I feel like there are two groups of people – the people who believe your heart is always right, and the group that believes your heart is always stupid.
The truth is, love is a matter of both the heart and the mind. There are a plethora of factors involved when it comes to deciding who you wanna get into a relationship with – your checklist, your deal breakers, your requirements, etc. How many times do we hear about dating and relationship red flags?
The guys in San Francisco, not ALL of them, but a LOT of them, don’t open doors, walk on the proper side of the sidewalk, or stand up when the woman gets up from the table.
But then again, why should they since the women in SF seemingly don’t care?
In the “Dating War” you will have your heart broken at least once. And how many times have we ignored these red flags? Here are some of the biggest dating red flags that apply to both men and women – If the person is only texting and emailing, but doesn’t make time to talk on the phone and doesn’t show any intention of meeting because they are always too busy, you need to move on.
Make sure you learn from it and don’t let it happen again. OMG, DID I FORGET TO WEAR PANTS – AM I DREAMI- IS THIS A DREAM. I have talked to guys who will email and text for weeks, and never once will I get to talk to them on the phone, let alone meet them. If someone is MIA for days, and you get a sporadic text or email from them, there’s no need to respond.
b) When we do find a potential person – are they even legit enough to date?
There are 2 major indicators that you’re in a frat house: 1) It’s disgusting as hell.
Specifically the Marina Safeway (aka Dateway), but Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are not to be ruled out.
And sure, they probably also pick up some kale and gluten-free beer while they’re at it. No where will you find more people with Peter Pan Syndrome than SF. SF is tech-savvy and one of the benefits to that is that people actually aren't afraid to online date. Just not if there are pictures of tigers or duck faces involved.
To be fair, this is just a San Francisco thing in general, but even for a date, guys will show up in a hoodie and the free T-shirt they got at their last tech meet-up.
